IEC 60255-27:2023 Měřicí relé a ochranná zařízení – Část 27: Požadavky na bezpečnost výrobků

IEC 60255-27:2023 specifies product safety requirements for measuring relays and protection equipment, as well as associated accessories such as shunts and instrument transformers. It applies to products with rated voltages up to 1000 V a.c. and 1500 V d.c., intended for indoor use at altitudes not exceeding 2000 m. This standard addresses hazards including electric shock and fire risks, and it does not cover functional performance, EMC requirements or installation safety on site.

This standard sets out safety criteria covering insulation, clearances, creepage distances, thermal overload, mechanical robustness, enclosure protection, marking and documentation. It also defines the relevant type tests and routine tests for compliance verification. It incorporates updates on risk assessment, short-time thermal overload and safety provisions for low-power transformer ports, to support safety validation and international acceptance of protection relay products.
